Antonia Gruber is the winner of the PhotoWerkBerlin Award 2015 in the category "The staged portrait"
The artist deals with her works with the mental and physical fragility of men. She uses expressive light and shadows in a very conscious way for the impact of their images. In the series " T.T.C. " she created female portraits with different techniques of analogue manipulations. The exact process of transformation remains the mystery of the artist but the results are expressive faces in black/white, fascinating and irritating at the same time.
